About the Role
You will design, implement, and operate customer-facing backend services and APIs. You will build RESTful endpoints and data models, integrate web applications and asynchronous pipelines, and own features from design through production. You will troubleshoot production issues, improve observability and reliability, participate in incident response, and contribute to standards for testing, documentation, dependencies, and service structure.
Requirements
- Experience delivering complex backend projects from design through production
- RESTful API design experience, including resource modeling, authentication, versioning, and documentation
- Experience with Python web frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI
- Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases and ORM patterns
- Experience deploying and debugging Linux services with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience owning production services, monitoring, alerting, and on-call response
- Ability to gather requirements and collaborate with product and customer-facing stakeholders
