About the Role
You will shape the autonomy software architecture and develop core robotics algorithms for real-world deployments. You will write, deploy, and maintain efficient C++ and Python software, address field issues, improve system resilience, evaluate advanced algorithms, and mentor junior engineers on design and engineering practices.
Requirements
- University degree in engineering or science focused on computer science, electrical engineering, or robotics
- Proven experience shipping and maintaining field-deployed software
- Experience leading software architecture design and software engineering best practices
- Experience contributing to technical strategy and mentoring junior engineers
- Understanding of autonomous systems, including motion planning, state estimation, behaviour-based control, path planning, and mission planning and execution
- Knowledge of Linux systems, middleware frameworks, and complex software-module interfaces
- Excellent English communication skills
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the technical strategy and design of the autonomy software architecture
- Lead and develop core robotics algorithms for challenging autonomous operations
- Triage customer issues, identify trends, and improve system resilience to field failures
- Write, deploy, and maintain efficient C++ and Python software for the autonomy stack
- Mentor junior engineers on algorithm design and engineering best practices
- Evaluate cutting-edge algorithms and solutions to improve autonomous performance and adaptability
