About the Role

You will design, implement, and operate AI agent capabilities and backend services. You will integrate language models, define agent autonomy policies, run evaluations, build security guardrails, write tests and documentation, and monitor production systems through shared on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

Solid production backend experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and Bun
Experience deploying and operating an LLM feature, including prompts, tool calling, structured outputs, failures, and cost
Experience with domain modeling and contracts, including schemas, versioning, and compatibility
Experience with distributed systems, including idempotency, retries, timeouts, budgets, and long-running executions
Experience with automated testing and observability
Clear written communication in Portuguese
Technical reading proficiency in English

Responsibilities

Model domains and contracts using versioned schemas as a single source of truth
Develop backend services in TypeScript using Node.js, Bun, and NestJS within a hexagonal architecture
Integrate language models through tool calling, structured outputs, streaming, and multiple providers
Implement limits, budgets, and autonomy policies for agents
Design and run evaluations measuring quality, cost, and latency
Build guardrails against prompt injection, data leakage, and tool misuse
Write tests first within the same pull request
Operate services through metrics, logs, tracing, and shared on-call
Collaborate on specifications and architecture decisions with backend and product stakeholders
Write specifications, ADRs, and documentation
