About the Role

You will turn industrial design concepts into production-ready digital geometry for softgoods and touch-facing components. You will create Class-A surfaces, ensure functional integration with adjacent parts, assess manufacturing feasibility, and deliver structured data through tooling release and mass production.

Requirements

  • Seven or more years of professional Class-A surface modeling in Alias or ICEM Surf

  • Knowledge of curvature control, highlight quality, and G2 or G3 continuity
  • Knowledge of manufacturing surfaces, tooling, and soft-material behavior
  • Ability to exchange geometry between Alias, parametric CAD, scan data, and lattice tools
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Own Class-A surface development for softgoods and touch-facing components
  • Integrate surfaces with adjacent rigid and soft parts, articulation, sensors, cooling, and service access
  • Translate sketches, clay models, and scan data into precise digital models
  • Drive manufacturing feasibility through draft, parting lines, shut-offs, wall thickness, and material behavior
  • Deliver structured digital data to engineering, tooling partners, and vendors
  • Set digital surfacing standards, quality checks, modeling workflows, and data structures
