Operate production systems through on-call support, incident response, postmortems, and follow-up actions. Define SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets, strengthen observability, ship cloud and Kubernetes infrastructure through GitOps, improve PostgreSQL reliability, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, platform/infrastructure, or backend engineering with significant production operations ownership
• Production Kubernetes operations experience
• Infrastructure as code and GitOps experience
• Production PostgreSQL experience including query plans, pg_stat_*, indexing, schema trade-offs, and safe online migrations
• Cloud networking fundamentals including VPCs, routing, L4/L7 load balancing, DNS, and TLS
• Experience with modern observability stacks
• Linux operator-level proficiency
• Incident response experience
• Working proficiency in Go or Python
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Interest in databases and PostgreSQL/DBA expertise

Responsibilities

• Operate production systems through on-call support and incident response
• Conduct postmortems and complete follow-up actions
• Define and refine SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets
• Strengthen observability across metrics, logs, traces, and alerting
• Ship cloud resources and Kubernetes workloads through a GitOps workflow
• Tune PostgreSQL performance
• Review schemas and migrations
• Perform online migrations on large tables
• Manage PostgreSQL high availability and disaster recovery
• Maintain change-data-capture pipelines
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and pairing
