About the Role
You will architect, build, document, test, and improve software for robotic factory installation systems. You will develop perception, motion-planning, and controls software, contribute to low-level robotic software, and control industrial automation hardware with an emphasis on correctness and safety.
Requirements
- Python development experience
- Experience with a lower-level language such as C++
- Experience developing real-time, embedded, or robotics software
- Ability to develop and instrument high-performance software
- Clean code, documentation, testing, version-control, and CI skills
- Startup experience
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work 4–5 days per week from the San Leandro headquarters
- Ability to travel approximately 10% to solar construction sites
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, document, test, and iterate on robotic factory installation software
- Develop perception, motion-planning, and controls software
- Contribute to low-level software for robotic systems
- Control industrial automation hardware including linear actuators, motors, and hydraulic systems
