About the Role
You will generate and execute vehicle test plans, analyze test data, investigate defects, and report system performance. You will build testing and data-acquisition software, conduct on-road testing, support CI/CD workflows, and help ensure that software updates do not regress performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree plus 6+ years, master's degree plus 3+ years, or doctorate plus 1+ years of relevant experience.
- Testing and verification experience for systems containing hardware and software components.
- Linux development experience with Ubuntu or CentOS.
- Knowledge of modern C++, Python, Bash, and REST APIs.
- Troubleshooting experience for complex robotic systems.
- Git and CI/CD knowledge, including Jenkins.
- Automation and configuration-management knowledge.
- Kanban or Scrum experience.
- Ability to perform work in a moving vehicle for extended periods.
Responsibilities
- Generate and execute vehicle test plans.
- Analyze test data and produce performance reports.
- Perform root-cause analysis of defects and performance issues.
- Design and deploy test instrumentation and data-capture infrastructure.
- Maintain vehicle-level verification and validation reports.
- Develop performance metrics and vehicle-level component tests.
- Conduct on-road autonomous-vehicle testing as an observer and annotator.
- Travel domestically or internationally for on-road testing up to 25%.
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software using C++ and scripting languages.
- Implement data-acquisition and analysis systems for remote vehicles.
- Use simulation software and scenarios to prevent software-performance regressions.
- Support software and system-level test plans and verification strategies.
