About the Role
You will own propulsion testing from requirements through flight handoff. You will design test stands, define instrumentation and DAQ systems, lead ground tests, analyze data, investigate anomalies, implement corrective actions, and author test plans, reports, and readiness reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- 5+ years of propulsion or engine testing experience in aerospace development
- Experience with engine test cells, test stand design, instrumentation, and DAQ systems
- Knowledge of gas turbine engine performance, transients, and test methodologies
- Python proficiency for data reduction, automation, and analysis
- Experience supporting flight-test readiness and test-to-flight transitions
- U.S. Citizenship or ability to comply with ITAR requirements
Responsibilities
- Own the propulsion test program through test-to-flight handoff
- Design and build test stands and fixtures
- Define instrumentation plans, DAQ architecture, calibration methods, and test procedures
- Lead ground test campaigns
- Analyze test data and drive design or control updates
- Coordinate test coverage with propulsion and controls engineers
- Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions
- Author test plans, reports, and readiness reviews
