About the Role
You will develop credible aerospace proposals for government and civilian customers. You will write technical content and executive summaries, shape win themes and narratives, interview subject-matter experts, turn technical documentation into polished proposal content, coordinate visuals, edit submissions, incorporate feedback, and guide technical writers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent relevant experience
- 5+ years of aerospace or related industry experience
- Understanding of spacecraft systems and engineering principles
- Experience writing competitive funding proposals
- Ability to communicate technical topics through prose and graphics
- Technical narrative storyboarding skills
- Critical thinking and technical editing skills
- Writing skills, including grammar, flow, tone, and conciseness
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Organizational skills
- Ability to manage overlapping projects and deadlines
- U.S. Person status and eligibility to obtain required export authorizations
Responsibilities
- Develop technically credible and competitive aerospace proposals
- Draft proposal content, product descriptions, technical specifications, and performance requirements
- Develop proposal win themes, storyboards, and strategic narratives
- Write executive summaries and critical proposal sections
- Interview subject matter experts and incorporate technical information into proposals
- Review technical documentation and convert it into proposal content
- Work with graphic designers to create visual representations of technical content
- Assemble, review, and edit proposals for accuracy, completeness, and guideline adherence
- Rework proposal content based on stakeholder feedback
- Provide guidance to technical writers
