About the Role
You will design, build, operate, and improve foundational platform services that help engineers deliver software safely. You will own complex work through production, strengthen reliability and security, create self-service workflows, and partner with stakeholders to improve platform standards and cloud efficiency.
Requirements
- Design, operate, and troubleshoot production AWS infrastructure, including IAM, EC2, EKS, RDS, MSK, S3, Lambda, VPC, and networking
- Administer and scale multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters and Kafka platforms in production
- Build and maintain infrastructure as code, pipeline-as-code, containerization, and cloud-native systems
- Design observability for production systems and tune relational databases
- Use Python, Go, Java, Scala, or shell for software engineering or scripting
- Own ambiguous cross-functional problems and communicate tradeoffs clearly
Responsibilities
- Design, operate, and improve highly available platform services, including Kubernetes, Kafka, CI/CD systems, artifact management, and shared infrastructure
- Build secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using infrastructure as code and repeatable automation
- Improve reliability through SLOs, graceful degradation, self-healing, automated recovery, and incident response
- Create self-service workflows and platform abstractions for R&D teams
- Partner with security, cost optimization, and engineering teams to strengthen controls, improve cloud efficiency, and influence the platform roadmap
