About the Role
You will represent renewable-energy projects in technical engineering and financing diligence. You will review plans, production estimates, and independent-engineer reports; coordinate site visits and documentation; support construction quality; address diligence questions and risks; and manage engineering deliverables for wind projects and related solar or storage opportunities.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in engineering or an equivalent technical field
- At least 5 years of professional experience in wind turbine project design, development, and construction
- Experience with wind-project construction, quality control, and investor site visits
- Experience with debt or tax equity financing practices, terminology, and requirements
- Technical writing skills
- Project and case management skills
- Knowledge of NEC, NESC, IBC, and NFPA 855 codes
Responsibilities
- Represent projects in engineering and financing efforts
- Promote project safety
- Support origination, procurement, development, and M&A activities
- Review production estimates and site suitability evaluations
- Review engineering plans and technical documentation
- Support construction QA/QC
- Collect, organize, review, and distribute engineering deliverables
- Participate in root-cause analyses
- Support technical due diligence for project financing
- Assist with independent-engineer selection
- Review independent-engineer reports and site-visit reports
- Coordinate and attend construction site visits
- Manage independent-engineer report timelines
- Respond to diligence questions
- Identify and resolve or mitigate report risks
- Coordinate engineering modeling initiatives
- Coordinate financing certificates and reliance letters
