About the Role
You'll take ownership of onboarding and due diligence for complex, high-value corporate clients, making sure every step follows best practices in onboarding, compliance, and risk management. You'll manage the end-to-end corporate application lifecycle, resolving bottlenecks and verifying intricate documentation for multi-jurisdictional entities. You'll dig into complex corporate structures to identify Ultimate Beneficial Owners and Directors, and you'll review documentation collected during onboarding to ensure it meets company policy and regulatory standards. You'll run advanced screening and Enhanced Due Diligence checks, acting as the escalation point for ambiguous matches, and you'll be relied on as a subject matter expert on relevant laws and regulations. You'll make risk-based decisions on complex investigations, design process improvements to onboarding workflows, and mentor others on onboarding merchants across BVNK's products.
Requirements
- Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in B2B corporate customer onboarding within payments fintech or crypto industry
- Previous experience in a fintech or payments environment with understanding of KYC/AML onboarding practices
- Experience onboarding clients with complex ownership structures and from high-risk industries
- Proven ability to onboard and manage various legal entity types including private limited companies partnerships trusts and foundations
- Strong research and analytical skills with ability to identify UBOs and assess corporate documentation
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced high-growth environment
- Comfortable managing multiple onboarding cases simultaneously with strong organizational and time management skills
Responsibilities
- Lead and optimize the onboarding and due diligence process for complex high-value corporate clients
- Drive the end-to-end corporate customer application lifecycle and resolve bottlenecks
- Verify intricate documentation for multi-jurisdictional entities
- Deconstruct and analyze complex corporate structures to identify Ultimate Beneficial Owners and Directors
- Perform quality assurance reviews on documentation collected for corporate applications
- Conduct advanced screening and Enhanced Due Diligence checks including sanctions PEPs and adverse media
- Serve as the primary escalation point to resolve complex or ambiguous matches
- Ensure team compliance with relevant laws regulations and internal standards
- Monitor and integrate external industry best practices
- Make risk-based decisions on complex investigations and escalations
- Design and implement strategic process improvements to onboarding workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience
- Provide oversight and mentorship on merchant onboarding across BVNK products
