About the Role
You'll play a key role in ensuring new customers are onboarded safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. You'll work closely with Compliance, Operations, Sales, and Product teams to review new customer applications, conduct due diligence, and help deliver a seamless onboarding experience while maintaining strong AML controls. This role is ideal if you're early in your compliance career and want hands-on exposure, real ownership, and the opportunity to grow alongside a high-impact fintech company.

- High agency and a strong sense of ownership
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to make thoughtful, risk-based decisions
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment where processes continue to improve over time
- Exposure to AML, customer onboarding, compliance, fraud, or risk operations is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Review new customer onboarding applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal and bank partner requirements
- Verify customer identities and business documentation as part of KYC/KYB onboarding
- Perform Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)
- Conduct sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening during the onboarding process
- Assess AML and onboarding risk and escalate higher-risk applications when appropriate
- Communicate with customers and internal teams to obtain additional documentation or resolve onboarding issues
- Maintain accurate onboarding records, audit trails, and compliance documentation
