About the Role
You will secure switching and routing infrastructure across enterprise and cloud environments. You will manage firewall configurations, deploy network security devices, resolve complex incidents, maintain network systems, and analyze network traffic to respond to security events.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field
- 4+ years of network security engineering experience focused on switching and routing
- Understanding of network security principles, TCP/IP, VLANs, ACLs, and secure routing and switching practices
- Proficiency with AWS, GCP, or Azure network security services
- Experience with Wireshark, tcpdump, Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto Networks
- Familiarity with Python or Bash for network security automation
- U.S. export-control eligibility or ability to obtain required authorization
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert in network security, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, routing protocols, and switching technologies
- Manage and update enterprise firewall configurations
- Deploy firewalls, switches, routers, and network security devices
- Develop network security solutions for routing and switching environments
- Document security processes and manage changes
- Resolve complex network security issues and provide escalation support
- Maintain patches, firmware, and maintenance for network security systems, switches, and routers
- Monitor and respond to cloud security events through network traffic analysis
