About the Role

You will operate and improve global edge, backbone, and data-center networks for high-performance compute clusters. You will monitor and troubleshoot incidents, execute network changes, develop reliability practices, manage vendors, report network health, and participate in 24/7 on-call support.

Requirements

10 years of related production-environment experience
Knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, EVPN, VXLAN, QoS, RSVP-TE, and LDP
Understanding of SNMP, IPFIX, sFlow, NetFlow, and telemetry
Familiarity with data-center, backbone, and edge network architecture
Experience with Python or similar scripting languages
Hands-on experience with Mellanox, Cisco, Arista, Juniper, or other network devices
Familiarity with commercial switch and router chipsets
Knowledge of public-cloud connectivity for AWS, GCP, Azure, Ali Cloud, and OCI
Understanding of IPv6 and IPv4-IPv6 coexistence technologies
Experience with network observability, flow analytics, and dashboarding tools
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

Monitor network performance and perform advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
Guide postmortem reviews and operational improvements
Execute network changes across data centers, backbone, and edge infrastructure
Optimize network operations across frontend, backend, backbone, edge, and public-cloud connectivity
Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional stakeholders on network needs
Develop monitoring, alerting, and systems for high network availability
Mentor network engineers and establish incident-response, documentation, and operational-readiness practices
Manage network service and equipment vendor relationships and contracts
Deliver network-health metrics, event statistics, and performance analysis
Participate in 24/7 on-call network support
