About the Role
You will lead mechanical-engineering work for primary and secondary structures and mechanisms. You will coordinate daily work, maintain engineering methods and standards, review CAD, analysis, and test outputs, execute test plans, manage vendors, and present technical and programmatic information.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering or aerospace
- Experience designing structural and mechanism components and assemblies
- Knowledge of component analysis for vibration, shock, and acoustic environments
- Vendor-management experience for component procurement
- U.S. Person status and eligibility for required export authorizations
Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical engineers working on structures and mechanisms
- Coordinate day-to-day team tasks
- Develop and enforce tools, methods, and best practices
- Review CAD drawings, analysis, and test reports
- Create and execute test plans and document results
- Create designs, analyses, and test plans
- Manage vendors to procure components against quality, cost, and schedule objectives
- Present technical and programmatic content
