About the Role
You will lead battery and materials compliance across the robot platform. You will interpret global regulations, translate requirements for engineering and manufacturing, manage certification testing and documentation, and coordinate with certification laboratories, notified bodies, and regulatory agencies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in battery compliance, materials compliance, or product certification engineering
- Hands-on experience with UL certification processes and battery safety standards
- Experience with UN 38.3, UL 1642, UL 2054, IEC 62133-2:2017, and ANSI/NEMA C18
- Working knowledge of RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Conflict Minerals, and California Prop 65
- Experience managing certification testing programs, compliance documentation, and external certification partners
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global certification strategies for battery systems and regulated materials
- Translate regulatory requirements into engineering, manufacturing, and supply-chain requirements
- Lead pre-certification and formal certification testing, issue resolution, and corrective actions
- Own compliance documentation, labeling requirements, test reports, and certification evidence packages
- Maintain relationships with certification labs, notified bodies, and regulatory agencies
