About the Role

You will develop manufacturing strategies for robotics and automation systems, lead manufacturability analyses and production transfers, manage tooling investments, optimize designs, and resolve manufacturing challenges with cross-functional partners.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience
At least 8 years of relevant industry experience
Mechanical and electrical design knowledge
Component selection and integration experience with motors, sensors, and actuators
Knowledge of machining, welding, electrical, casting, sheet metal, and plastics manufacturing processes
Problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
Communication and interpersonal skills
Valid driver's license and ability to travel
Industrial robotics, automation, or material-handling experience preferred
PLM knowledge preferred
DFMA experience preferred

Responsibilities

Define and implement manufacturing strategies for robotics and automation systems
Collaborate on manufacturability and product transfers into production
Lead design-for-manufacturability analyses and manufacturing-readiness reviews
Manage tooling and capital investments
Perform FEA and tolerance analysis
Integrate mechanical, electrical, software, controls, manufacturing, and quality engineering work
Troubleshoot design challenges and drive continuous improvement
Communicate technical information to technical and non-technical audiences
Travel up to 25%
