About the Role
You will provide US tax planning and advisory support for contracts, construction projects, financings, and transactions. You will structure transactions, review commercial agreements, lead infrastructure tax planning, build tax models, coordinate cross-border matters, support reporting, and manage external tax advisors.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive US federal and state tax experience
- CPA or equivalent US professional qualification
- Strong US corporate and partnership tax knowledge
- Technical expertise in corporate tax, international tax, modeling, and cross-border structuring
- Experience managing complex tax projects and communicating tax outcomes to non-tax executives
- Willingness to overlap with UK colleagues early in the morning
Responsibilities
- Advise on tax structuring for acquisitions, reorganizations, cross-border transactions, partnerships, joint ventures, and capital-markets work
- Lead tax execution from diligence through post-closing integration
- Review commercial contracts for sourcing, withholding, transaction-tax, and contracting-entity consequences
- Support cost segregation and fixed-asset classification for data center build-outs
- Lead or co-own sales, use, and property-tax incentives and energy tax-credit opportunities
- Build models for cost recovery, book-tax differences, and cash-tax forecasts
- Coordinate transfer pricing, intercompany arrangements, BEAT, withholding, and funding structures
- Support ASC 740, state and local tax, incentives, and disclosure matters
- Manage external-advisor scope, fees, and spend
