About the Role
You will lead quality activities for an aerospace development program from prototype through production readiness. You will establish quality strategy, systems, metrics, risk-management practices, corrective-action processes, test oversight, and production-readiness plans. You will partner across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, flight test, and program management while building and mentoring a multidisciplinary quality organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, aerospace engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 10 or more years of experience in aerospace, defense, aviation, space, or other highly regulated industries
- 5 or more years leading technical quality organizations
- Experience supporting product development from concept through production transition
- Knowledge of quality systems, engineering development processes, and aerospace manufacturing
- Experience leading root-cause investigations and corrective-action programs
- Experience with risk management, reliability engineering, and failure analysis
- Working knowledge of AS9100 quality management systems
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership
Responsibilities
- Lead quality activities for the XBAT development program
- Establish quality strategy, objectives, metrics, and development-lifecycle requirements
- Ensure quality participation in architecture, design reviews, verification, validation, and qualification
- Manage design documentation, configuration, traceability, and engineering-change quality impacts
- Lead program risk management, FRACAS, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions
- Develop oversight strategies for laboratory, ground, and flight testing
- Lead material review board and nonconformance-management activities
- Support transition from prototype to production through inspection plans and control strategies
- Implement quality processes and ensure AS9100 compliance
- Build, lead, mentor, recruit, and develop quality personnel
