About the Role

You'll be involved in all aspects of local and global operations, supporting critical initiatives that facilitate the expansion of the company's financial infrastructure. Reporting to the International Controller, you'll be immersed in all aspects of operations, working closely with internal and external partners at all levels. You'll play a vital role in recommending solutions and driving strategic decision-making processes, with your organizational skills key in a fast-paced environment. With a genuine curiosity about emerging payment technology and the blockchain industry, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, fueling the expansion of the financial infrastructure and contributing to the future of the finance team.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CPA)
  • Statutory audit experience
  • Good communication skills, both orally and in writing
  • Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
  • Understanding of financial regulatory capital planning
  • Capital management and liquidity awareness
  • Strong understanding of the principles and application of risk management
  • Understanding of project management and governance principles and techniques
  • Knowledge of financial products, FX, Derivatives (preferred)
  • Technical accounting exposure (preferred)
  • Regulatory reporting exposure (preferred)
  • Transaction support and other M&A / tax experience (preferred)
  • Coding skills such as Python, SQL (a plus)
  • Exposure to broker / trading backgrounds or regulated financial services businesses (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver all Brazilian & Bacen GAAP reporting including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, P&L, Balance Sheet, variance analysis, and management reports
  • Ensure data integrity of the ledger and timely receipt of trading and operational data
  • Translate local requirements into Group actionable deliverables, bridging finance and local providers such as auditors, banking providers, and tax authorities
  • Prepare and coordinate statutory and regulatory audits, ensuring they are completed and filed on time
  • Ensure financial regulatory filings are completed on time with sufficient granularity
  • Prepare financial updates for external trading partners and investors
  • Prepare financial management reporting for Exco members and follow up on action items with the Head of FP&A
  • Document policies and procedures to support department expansion and global handover
  • Work with outsourced partners to provide timely financial and other information
  • Assist the Head of Treasury and Capital Management with treasury and liquidity management reporting
  • Monitor Finance risk framework requirements for the business
  • Assist with financial forecasting and modelling of operating businesses
  • Assess the financial and reporting impact of new products and markets or entities
  • Help create new timely and accurate financial reporting for Management Information
  • Support management of external banking relationships
  • Manage delivery of ad-hoc projects as directed by management
