About the Role
You will develop and deliver European policy communications strategy. You will translate policy and regulatory developments into accessible messaging, create executive and public-facing content, manage media and stakeholder relationships, monitor policy developments, advise senior stakeholders, and lead communications for sensitive regulatory and crisis issues.
Requirements
- 7–12 years of experience in policy communications, public affairs, or corporate communications
- Understanding of European policymaking and regulatory environments
- Experience developing and executing communications strategies in complex environments
- Written and verbal communication skills for simplifying technical or regulatory topics
- Experience advising senior executives and leadership teams
- Ability to build credibility with stakeholders across European markets
- Fluency in English and at least one additional European language
- Experience in technology, infrastructure, or regulated industries
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a European policy communications strategy
- Translate policy and regulatory developments into messaging for internal and external audiences
- Partner with Government Affairs, Legal, business stakeholders, and senior leadership on policy positioning
- Build relationships with journalists, think tanks, trade associations, and industry bodies
- Create briefings, position papers, op-eds, speeches, and consultation responses
- Support executive communications and preparation for policy forums and events
- Lead communications for sensitive regulatory, sovereignty, reactive, and crisis issues
- Monitor and analyse the European policy landscape for risks, opportunities, and emerging trends
- Maintain consistent narratives across public relations and executive communications
- Provide policy-communications and reputational counsel to senior stakeholders
- Manage external agencies and partners
