About the Role
You will lead environmental planning, program development, and compliance strategies for data center campuses and power generation assets. You will oversee environmental due diligence, develop screening frameworks, integrate environmental risks into business decisions, manage governance tools, support construction assurance, maintain compliance dashboards, and engage stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related environmental discipline
- 10–15+ years of progressive experience in environmental planning, permitting, and program management
- Experience managing environmental compliance and permitting for large-scale industrial construction projects
- Experience directing or conducting Phase I ESAs, wetland assessments, water rights, biological and species screenings, and cultural resource reviews
- Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations
- Experience working with business development, real estate, and project finance teams
- Ability to travel up to 25–45%
Responsibilities
- Oversee preliminary environmental assessments, wetland delineations, water and biological surveys, and air permit analyses
- Develop and maintain a standardized pre-project environmental screening framework
- Translate environmental constraints into actionable guidance for land acquisition and corporate development teams
- Establish scalable corporate environmental programs, policies, and KPIs
- Create and maintain environmental tools, templates, and workflows
- Oversee stormwater management, environmental audits, and compliance tracking during construction
- Develop documentation systems, regulatory correspondence tracking, and environmental metrics dashboards
- Communicate environmental risks and opportunities to internal teams and regulatory agencies
