About the Role
You will design and build an agent harness with orchestration, tool integrations, context, and memory management. You will ship production agentic applications, create evaluation and guardrail systems, and set technical standards through reviews and mentorship.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or ML-focused software engineer
- Strong Python and distributed-systems fundamentals
- Experience shipping LLM-powered systems to production at scale
- Experience building end-to-end agentic systems with tool use, orchestration, context management, and multi-step planning
- Expertise in trajectory-level evaluations, tool-call scoring, and simulation environments
- Expertise designing permission models, tool-scoping models, approval gates, blast-radius controls, and sandboxing
- Knowledge of golden datasets, rubric grading, LLM-as-judge grading, statistical significance, offline-to-online metric correlation, eval data versioning, and contamination control
- Experience shipping evaluation, safety, or agent tooling adopted by engineering teams
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience
Responsibilities
- Design and build the agent harness, including orchestration, tool integrations, context, and memory management
- Ship end-to-end production agentic applications
- Build trajectory-level evaluation systems, simulation environments, and synthetic task generation
- Architect action guardrails including permission models, approval gates, sandboxing, and rollback
- Develop SDKs, CI regression gates, red-teaming, and production tracing for evaluations and guardrails
- Set technical standards through architecture reviews, code reviews, and mentorship
