About the Role
You will own the architecture and technical strategy for learning platforms and enablement products. You will design AI-powered learning capabilities, build secure data systems and applications, establish engineering practices, lead technical programs, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience designing, building, and operating production software or data platforms
- Experience owning architecture and technical direction for complex multi-system products
- Full-stack or platform engineering experience with backend services, APIs, data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and web applications
- Experience with AI- or data-intensive systems
- Python or a similar production programming language
- SQL and relational and analytical data-system experience
- Cloud platforms, distributed systems, identity and access management, security controls, and production operations experience
- Knowledge of data privacy, governance, least-privilege access, and responsible AI
- Experience with Databricks technologies preferred
- React, Flask, or FastAPI experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and technical strategy for learning platforms and enablement products
- Design and implement AI-powered recommendation, skill inference, search, personalization, and analytics capabilities
- Build secure, privacy-aware data systems
- Develop Databricks-native applications, data pipelines, APIs, automations, and user experiences
- Establish practices for reliability, observability, testing, releases, access control, and lifecycle ownership
- Define integration strategies across learning, content, identity, and data platforms
- Partner with business leaders on product direction, roadmaps, and trade-offs
- Lead cross-functional technical programs
- Mentor engineers and contribute to hiring
- Create architecture documents, technical presentations, and reusable guidance
