About the Role
Hands-on laboratory and prototype development role supporting engineering through electronic assembly, soldering, testing, equipment maintenance, documentation, inventory management, procurement, and shipment organization.
Requirements
- Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in electronics, manufacturing, engineering technology, or a related field
- Experience soldering surface-mount parts
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic computer skills including spreadsheet and inventory tracking applications
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Experience with electronic test equipment
- Experience with electromechanical assembly and troubleshooting
- IPC soldering certification or equivalent experience
- Experience with purchasing, inventory management, and vendor coordination
Responsibilities
- Rework through-hole and surface-mount electronic components
- Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical assemblies
- Assist with prototype integration, testing, and design iterations
- Conduct functional testing and inspections of PCBAs
- Assist with test setups, troubleshooting, and product validation
- Document assembly processes, observations, and test results
- Maintain laboratory equipment and workspace
- Prepare tools, materials, and equipment
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and calibration
- Monitor inventory levels
- Order laboratory supplies, components, and equipment
- Receive, inspect, and organize shipments
