About the Role

You will serve as the safety subject matter expert across engineering and manufacturing. You will review designs, identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, maintain safety documentation, ensure code compliance, support process safety programs, collaborate with technical teams, inspect facilities and equipment, and report safety findings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical system safety
  • Familiarity with OSHA, NFPA 70E, IEC, ISO, and other safety standards
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
  • Ability to solve safety-related engineering problems using a first principles approach
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills
  • Participation in a drug and alcohol program

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the safety representative on design teams
  • Review models, drawings, and specifications to identify hazards
  • Own electrical safety, Lockout/Tagout, and machine safety programs
  • Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments, FMEA, FTA, and failure mode analysis
  • Develop and maintain safety cases, hazard logs, and compliance reports
  • Ensure designs and facilities comply with safety codes and standards
  • Support Process Safety Management program elements
  • Partner with design, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams
  • Support safety assessments, walkthroughs, and equipment inspections
  • Prepare and present safety reports
