About the Role

You will manage the employee lifecycle, maintain HR records and workflows, and support payroll, benefits, leave administration, and employee changes. You will build HR policies and processes, handle employee relations and compliance matters, support recruiting operations, and improve onboarding.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of progressive HR experience in startup and corporate environments
  • HR operations, employee relations, and compliance experience
  • Experience building HR policies, procedures, and scalable processes
  • Rippling HRIS experience
  • Ashby or comparable ATS experience
  • Knowledge of multi-state employment laws and HR best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in an on-site environment
  • Organization, attention to detail, communication, and judgment skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, employee records, and HR administration
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on policies, benefits, and people practices
  • Maintain employee data and workflows in Rippling HRIS
  • Support payroll, benefits administration, leaves of absence, and employee changes
  • Build, document, and implement HR policies, procedures, and playbooks
  • Establish compliant HR processes and improve HR workflows
  • Support performance management, employee documentation, and corrective actions
  • Handle employee relations matters
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Assist with audits, investigations, and internal reviews
  • Support recruiting operations in Ashby, including job postings, interview coordination, and candidate communications
  • Partner with hiring managers to support candidate experience
  • Improve the new-hire onboarding experience
