About the Role
You will own and expand international research collaborations, establish compliant partnership frameworks, and support equitable benefit-sharing. You will coordinate environmental sampling and DNA biobanking, train partners, lead field expeditions, manage logistics and safety, and maintain high-quality sample and field data.
Requirements
- Senior-level experience in international partnerships, science diplomacy, conservation, or government relations
- Established professional network in biodiversity, conservation, government, or NGO communities
- Experience leading complex multi-stakeholder initiatives independently
- Experience representing organizations at international partnerships, conferences, and stakeholder events
- Experience managing projects with regulatory and political considerations
- Experience planning and executing field sampling in remote or challenging environments
- Experience with expedition logistics, customs, packing lists, first aid, and lone-working protocols
- Experience leading field teams
- Ability to record, manage, and quality-control field data
- Ability to troubleshoot field equipment and adapt to changing conditions
Responsibilities
- Deliver and expand existing research collaborations
- Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities in active partnerships
- Establish and manage international biodiversity collaborations
- Support capacity-building, knowledge exchange, and benefit-sharing with partners
- Plan and execute environmental sampling with research groups and partners
- Deliver environmental sampling and DNA extraction training
- Coordinate DNA biobanking in London
- Plan and lead field expeditions and field teams
- Manage expedition travel, accommodation, customs, equipment, and risk management
- Collect and quality-control metadata and samples while maintaining chain of custody
