About the Role
You will own the full engineering lifecycle, from design and development through deployment, monitoring, and production maintenance. You will build full-stack applications, lead architectural decisions, improve reliability and performance, collaborate on feature requirements, mentor junior developers, and respond to production incidents.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience owning and delivering end-to-end features in production
- Familiarity with modern frameworks, cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions
- Experience managing development and operational aspects of software with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience mentoring or guiding team members in a senior role
- Right to work in the jurisdiction where you will work
Responsibilities
- Own the full software engineering lifecycle from design through production maintenance
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional stakeholders to refine feature requirements
- Lead architectural decisions for scalable and maintainable solutions
- Establish monitoring, alerting, and support processes for reliable features
- Mentor and guide junior developers
- Participate in code reviews and uphold quality, security, and performance standards
- Troubleshoot production issues and participate in incident response
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Python, Flask, FastAPI, AWS, Angular, and SQL databases
- Optimize application performance and resolve complex technical issues
- Evaluate emerging technologies and advocate for beneficial applications
