About the Role
You will build and ship production software across the TypeScript/Node.js back end and React front end. You will deliver bug fixes, small features, tests, and technical-debt improvements; trace requests across the application stack; participate in reviews and Scrum ceremonies; collaborate with Product, QA, and UX; and investigate QA/UAT issues.
Requirements
- Up to 2 years of professional software engineering experience
- Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript
- Comfort with at least one of Node.js or React
- Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and judgment to evaluate their output
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
- Comfort with Git-based workflows, including branches, pull requests, reviews, and CI
- Clear written English communication
- Authorization to work in the United States or Canada
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
Responsibilities
- Ship work across the stack, including bug fixes, small features, test coverage, and technical-debt improvements
- Use AI coding tools and rigorously review their output
- Trace requests across the front end, API, services, and database
- Participate in code review
- Take part in refinement, sprint kick-offs, standups, demos, and retrospectives
- Work with Product, QA, and UX to clarify requirements, reproduce bugs, and ask design questions
- Investigate and resolve QA/UAT issues
