About the Role
You will own major Developer Console platform areas, including billing, usage tracking, quotas, request logs, and metrics. You will build frontend systems and backend APIs and services, make architectural decisions on data models and processing trade-offs, and deliver scalable production systems. You will lead technical execution, improve reliability and observability, partner on developer workflows, and mentor engineers through design reviews and guidance.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ownership of complex systems delivered end to end
- Strong backend fundamentals in APIs, data modeling, and distributed systems
- Full-stack capability across frontend and backend systems
- Strong architectural judgment
- Ability to independently clarify ambiguous problems and drive execution
- High standards for correctness, maintainability, and long-term system health
- Ability to mentor and influence engineers
- Experience working in fast-moving environments
- Typically 8+ years of industry experience building and operating production systems
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience
Responsibilities
- Own major platform areas such as billing, usage tracking, quotas, request logs, or metrics
- Design and implement APIs, services, and user interfaces for the Developer Console
- Define system boundaries, data models, and real-time versus batch-processing trade-offs
- Drive ambiguous projects from definition through production scale
- Lead technical execution and coordinate high-quality delivery across the stack
- Improve system observability, debuggability, and production readiness
- Partner with product and design to shape developer-facing workflows
- Mentor engineers and lead design reviews
