About the Role
You will support budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and Board-level finance governance packs. You will partner with budget holders and departmental leaders, build financial models and scenarios, analyse operating trends and risks, improve planning processes and tools, and deliver ad hoc analysis for senior leaders.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of post-qualified experience, or 3+ years of FP&A, corporate finance, or related analytical finance experience
- FP&A, commercial finance, or business-partnering experience in Financial Services, Fintech, or Banking
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, month-end variance analysis, performance reporting, and business cases
- Financial modelling capability
- Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experience working with complex and large data sets, scenario analysis, and data-driven recommendations
- Stakeholder-management skills and confidence engaging senior non-finance audiences
- Understanding of operating rhythms, controls, and commercial drivers in regulated financial-services environments
- Professional accounting qualification: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
- Familiarity with AI-enabled finance tools such as Claude and ChatGPT is desirable
Responsibilities
- Support annual budgeting and monthly forecasting
- Prepare monthly, half-yearly, and annual performance reporting and Board-level finance governance packs
- Analyse actual-versus-budget and actual-versus-forecast performance, drivers, risks, and opportunities
- Partner with budget holders and departmental leaders to improve financial accountability and decision-making
- Support commercial activities and ad hoc requests with Business Partners and the Head of FP&A
- Build and maintain financial models, scenarios, and sensitivities for business cases and investment decisions
- Monitor operating-expenditure trends and escalate material risks early
- Improve FP&A processes, reporting, and planning tools
- Contribute to Finance-wide projects and provide ad hoc analysis for senior leaders
