Skills
About the Role
You will lead the cloud cost optimization strategy across GCP, AWS, and on-prem infrastructure, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and financial predictability. You will analyze compute, storage, networking, and Kubernetes resource usage to identify actionable cost-saving opportunities without compromising performance or reliability. You will build and maintain forecasting models, dashboards, and automated reporting that provide real-time visibility into cost drivers and trends across teams and services. You will develop and implement tagging/labeling standards, budgeting processes, and governance policies to enable cross-organizational accountability. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Finance, and Product to guide workload placement, architecture decisions, and scaling strategies. You will drive adoption of FinOps best practices including rightsizing, reservation planning, autoscaling optimizations, multi-cloud efficiency, and cost-effective storage strategies. You will create and refine internal tooling, automation, and pipelines for cost monitoring, anomaly detection, and usage attribution across Kubernetes clusters, virtual machines, and physical servers. You will advocate for a cost-aware culture by training engineering teams, running FinOps reviews, and communicating insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, while staying up to date with the latest cloud pricing models, vendor offerings, and industry trends.
