About the Role
You'll join our R&D center in Tel Aviv as part of a team of developers and devops engineers, directly contributing to our product using cutting-edge technologies. You'll take a critical part in shaping the future of transportation, affecting tens of thousands of riders daily worldwide. You'll define infrastructure standards for dev teams, design and develop tools for controlling microservices infrastructure, build CI/CD automation and templates with GitLab, and build, maintain and operate AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure. You'll develop a deep understanding of Via's applications and architecture, work closely with other teams to ensure smooth and documented changes across environments, identify and resolve problems in mission-critical services, and automate remediation procedures to prevent recurrences. You'll bring your own ideas to the table and take ownership over your project timelines and deliverables to help the team scale.
Requirements
- BSc. Computer Science or similar
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend or full-stack development in a product development team
- Object oriented programming experience is required
- 3+ years experience as Devops/SRE in a production environment
- 2+ years experience with containers, Kubernetes, Helm, Argo CD
- 2+ years experience with AWS or GCP/Azure
- 1+ years experience with CICD - GitLab/Jenkins/Github actions/etc.
- Experience with networking, distributed systems, SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems internals and administration
- Fluent in English language
- Advantage - Experienced with declarative IaC tools like Terraform, Cloudformation or Pulumi
Responsibilities
- Define infrastructure standards for dev teams
- Design, implement and develop tools for controlling infrastructure of micro services
- Build CI/CD automation and templates with GitLab
- Build, maintain and operate AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure
- Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the applications and architecture at Via
- Work in contact with other teams across the company to ensure smooth and documented changes to all environments
- Identify and resolve problems in mission-critical services, automating remediation procedures to prevent recurrences
- Bring ideas to the table and take ownership over project timelines and deliverables
