About the Role
You'll join Via's R&D center in Tel Aviv as part of a team of developers and devops engineers, directly contributing to the product using cutting-edge technologies. You'll take a critical part in shaping the future of transportation, affecting tens of thousands of riders daily worldwide. You'll work on designing and implementing scalable and secure cloud infrastructure, developing and maintaining Kubernetes clusters and related tools, managing edge gateways, WAF solutions, and other critical infrastructure components. You'll define and enforce CI/CD standards, build tools and automation to enhance productivity across engineering teams, and ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of production infrastructure.
Requirements
- BSc. Computer Science or similar
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend or full-stack development in a product development team, with object oriented programming experience required
- 3+ years experience as Devops/SRE in a production environment
- 2+ years experience with containers, Kubernetes, Helm, Argo CD
- 2+ years experience with AWS or GCP/Azure
- 1+ years experience with CICD - GitLab/Jenkins/Github actions/etc.
- Experience with networking, distributed systems, SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems internals and administration
- Fluent in English language
- Advantage - Experienced with declarative IaC tools like Terraform, Cloudformation or Pulumi
Responsibilities
- Define infrastructure standards for dev teams
- Design, implement and develop tools for controlling infrastructure of micro services
- Build CI/CD automation and templates with GitLab
- Build, maintain and operate AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure
- Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the applications and architecture at Via
- Work in contact with other teams across the company to ensure smooth and documented changes to all environments
- Identify and resolve problems in mission-critical services, automating remediation procedures to prevent recurrences
- Bring ideas to the table, take ownership over project timelines and deliverables and help scale the platform
