About the Role
You will lead engineers building production capacity data, planning, and efficiency systems. You will set technical direction and roadmap priorities, develop engineers, partner with internal users, maintain reliability and incident practices, and improve fleet utilization across cloud and infrastructure resources.
Requirements
- Engineering management experience
- Production systems background in data engineering, infrastructure, distributed systems, or observability
- Cloud provider familiarity
- Kubernetes
- Observability stack experience
- Engineering roadmap execution
- Operational ownership including on-call and incident management
- Technical communication
Responsibilities
- Lead, hire, onboard, coach, and retain senior engineers
- Engage internal customers and incorporate needs into the roadmap
- Own and prioritize the engineering roadmap
- Review designs and set production engineering standards
- Define schema contracts and data-product requirements
- Partner with infrastructure, inference, research engineering, and finance stakeholders
- Own reliability, incident response, SLOs, and on-call practices
- Plan function growth across headcount, skills, and systems
