About the Role
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance services powering payments and wallet infrastructure. Collaborate across teams to integrate systems, optimize transaction workflows, and improve platform reliability and scalability while managing secure custody solutions for digital assets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Understanding of good practices for building and working with APIs
- 5+ years of experience building scalable distributed systems with a strong Ruby background; Go is a plus
- Comfort with ambiguity and scoping solutions with teammates
- Organized, proactive, and able to self-manage
- Knowledge of cryptography and blockchain security principles, plus cryptocurrency compliance and regulatory frameworks
Responsibilities
- Architect and build scalable backend services using Rails 7, Go, Sidekiq, REST, AWS, and Docker
- Design and build high-volume APIs used by frontends and external traders
- Drive production-system architecture decisions and ensure long-term code quality
- Manage and maintain custody solutions for digital assets
- Ensure security and compliance when handling and storing digital assets, cryptocurrencies, tokens, and digital records
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers during product development
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
