About the Role

You own one or two core domains end to end and ship measurable improvements to regulated, money-moving systems. You evaluate Kotlin and .NET architectures through prototypes and benchmarks, define agentic software development practices, and write clean, tested, observable code. You also collaborate with business, compliance, marketing, and infrastructure stakeholders while communicating architecture and constraints clearly.

Requirements

  • 5+ years building production systems where correctness and uptime matter
  • Strong expertise in either Kotlin, Spring Boot, and Kafka or .NET, C#, and ASP.NET Core
  • Openness to work across both the modern JVM and .NET ecosystems
  • Experience with AWS, EKS, observability, and infrastructure concepts
  • Understanding of event-driven systems, idempotency, reconciliation, and distributed systems
  • Ability to communicate architecture, boundaries, data flows, and constraints clearly
  • Daily use of coding agents such as Codex, Cursor, Claude Code, or Aider
  • Experience building or customising a real agentic workflow, tool, or automation used in practice
  • Judgement about human oversight in regulated environments
  • Strong written communication and design documentation skills
  • Ability to give and receive direct feedback

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of one or two core domains end to end
  • Ship measurable improvements to regulated, money-moving systems
  • Contribute to the Kotlin versus .NET architectural evaluation
  • Prototype, benchmark, and document architectural options
  • Define and prove out the agentic software development lifecycle
  • Use coding agents in design, review, testing, and incident response
  • Write clean, well-tested, observable code
  • Partner with business, compliance, marketing, and infrastructure functions
