About the Role

Design and integrate electrical systems into drawings for custom power and control products. Create electrical design deliverables, verify project materials, perform branch circuit and feeder calculations, size components, evaluate manufacturing processes, identify improvements, collaborate with production and commercial teams, inspect work for quality, and support multiple projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • Seven years of experience in manufacturing, construction, or a project environment
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code
  • Knowledge of low-voltage power distribution systems up to 600 volts
  • Knowledge of load calculations for machine and control panels per NEC and UL 508A
  • Knowledge of office software and ACADE
  • Knowledge of machine engineering principles
  • Experience developing relationships with production personnel, electrical technicians, and control panel builders
  • Knowledge of electrical test equipment
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams
  • Ability to inspect work for flaws and mistakes
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects
  • Experience with QA/QC and Factory Acceptance Testing is a plus
  • Experience with PLCs, motion control, HMIs, or instrumentation is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Create one-line diagrams, control schematics, submittal packages, and bills of materials
  • Review vendor bid packages and submittals for technical accuracy
  • Perform branch circuit and feeder calculations
  • Specify and size electrical components
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes
  • Identify manufacturing process improvements
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, project management, and sales teams
  • Inspect completed work for quality issues
