About the Role
You will manage the lifecycle of electrical construction projects from preliminary scope through energization and turnover. You will coordinate contractors, utilities, equipment vendors, approvals, budgets, schedules, construction activities, commissioning, capacity planning, and electrical reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, power systems engineering, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in electrical construction, power systems engineering, substations, data-center electrical infrastructure, battery energy storage systems, or facilities electrical management
- Ability to work at elevated heights and around energized high-voltage equipment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Availability for extended hours and weekends as needed
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel occasionally
Responsibilities
- Oversee full lifecycle delivery of electrical construction projects
- Manage multi-discipline electrical construction projects in the field and office
- Perform electrical project scheduling, cost control, and commissioning coordination
- Coordinate contractors, fabricators, equipment manufacturers, utilities, and internal customers
- Resolve electrical design and construction conflicts in the field
- Provide budgetary costs for preliminary electrical scopes
- Gather proposals and assign contracts
- Facilitate permitting, environmental, governmental, and utility approvals
- Coordinate equipment delivery, installation, testing, energization, and turnover
- Develop approaches for electrical space allocation, capacity planning, and load growth
