About the Role

You will join the Cloud Engineering team and take ownership of day-to-day infrastructure operations spanning Kubernetes, CI/CD, databases, observability, and networking, while also helping shape a new AI Operations initiative. You'll work in a real production fintech environment, thoughtfully automating tasks currently done by hand such as infrastructure change reviews, runbook generation, and anomaly detection in deployments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud / DevOps / SRE, including designing complex, scalable high-load services
  • Strong command of Linux systems and a good understanding of networking basics
  • Production Kubernetes experience (EKS preferred), with AWS as primary cloud provider; GCP is a plus
  • GitLab CI/CD: writing pipelines, managing runners, troubleshooting
  • Helm: authoring and maintaining charts
  • Terraform for infrastructure as code (Pulumi is a plus)
  • PostgreSQL / Aurora: administration, monitoring, and replication concepts
  • Python or Go for scripting and automation, plus Shell/Bash scripting
  • Comfortable communicating clearly in English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and upgrade Managed EKS clusters
  • Develop and maintain Helm charts, CRDs, and Kubernetes operators
  • Administer Istio service mesh and participate in resilience testing, including chaos tests as part of DORA compliance
  • Own and develop CI/CD pipelines in GitLab and manage GitOps workflows via ArgoCD
  • Write automation and tooling in Python, Go, and Bash
  • Operate AWS Aurora PostgreSQL/RDS, AWS Managed Redis, Atlas MongoDB, and Kafka clusters with monitoring, tested backup strategies, and documented recovery procedures
  • Maintain the observability stack including VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, Prometheus, centralized logging via ELK/OpenSearch, and distributed tracing
  • Integrate LLM-based tooling into CI/CD for automated review of infrastructure changes, runbook generation, and deployment anomaly detection
  • Build and support infrastructure for internal AI services and agent workflows, including management of LLM gateways, model proxies, and cost allocation across teams
