About the Role
Join the payments engineering team in Kuala Lumpur to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs processing high-volume payment transactions for game developers worldwide. Develop microservices, support large-scale integrations, participate in code reviews, collaborate with cross-functional teams, monitor systems, document architecture, and participate in Kanban ceremonies.
Requirements
- Proven backend development experience with PHP and GoLang.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, software design patterns, and decomposition principles.
- Experience with microservices architecture and scalable backend systems.
- Strong SQL and database design knowledge, including optimization for large datasets.
- Familiarity with Postman, GitLab, console, and other development tools.
- Experience with Grafana, Kibana, DataDog, and ELK.
- Ability to work independently on complex technical tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience with high-load systems and event-driven architectures is a nice-to-have.
- Familiarity with GitLab CI is a nice-to-have.
- Frontend or SPA experience is a nice-to-have.
- Experience using AI-powered development tools is a nice-to-have.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using PHP and Go.
- Develop and enhance microservices for large-scale integrations and high-load payment flows.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high development standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and partner teams.
- Monitor systems using Grafana, Kibana, and ELK.
- Document technical specifications, system architecture, and functionalities.
- Participate in Kanban ceremonies and maintain effective communication.
