About the Role
You will build creative software and hardware projects, turn them into tutorials, videos, sample code, workshops, demos, and talks, and engage developers online and at events. You will test and troubleshoot demos, experiment with emerging tools, and bring developer feedback to product and engineering.
Requirements
- Create high-quality technical content for developers
- Build, ship, and maintain production software
- Use Python, Go, C++, or TypeScript
- Scope, build, debug, and iterate on software projects independently
- Work hands-on with hardware, IoT, embedded systems, electronics, or maker projects
- Explain complex technical concepts clearly
- Understand developer technology adoption
- Speak publicly, teach, appear on video, and engage developer communities
- Travel and participate in occasional evening or weekend events
Responsibilities
- Represent Viam at developer events through speaking, teaching, and building alongside developers
- Build creative robotics projects
- Create tutorials, videos, sample code, workshops, demos, and talks
- Grow engagement across Discord and developer communities
- Experiment with emerging technologies and developer tools
- Build, assemble, test, and troubleshoot demo software and hardware
- Bring developer feedback to Product and Engineering
