About the Role
You will characterize operational design domains, map driving competencies, and prioritize data needed for safe and predictable model performance. You will analyze model behavior and data gaps, develop scaling frameworks, and turn insights into data, safety, simulation, product, and deployment plans.
Requirements
- 7+ years of systems engineering, automotive data analysis, data science, or related experience
- Familiarity with traffic regulations and human driving behaviors across geographies
- Proficiency with Python, SQL, GIS, Jupyter, and Databricks
- Ability to visualize ODD and scenario coverage metrics
- Ability to translate domain analysis into technical and product requirements
- Experience in agile, fast-scaling environments
Responsibilities
- Analyze and define operational design domains for target markets
- Identify ODD boundaries, edge conditions, and failure triggers
- Build and maintain behavioral competency taxonomies
- Quantify competency complexity and frequency
- Develop frameworks to prioritize ODD and competency permutations
- Analyze model KPI patterns and driving behaviors
- Identify data gaps and high-variance behaviors affecting MTBF
- Provide data guidance for ODD segments
- Collaborate on data strategies, scenario libraries, synthetic data, and test prioritization
