About the Role
You will build and maintain a self service data platform that enables teams to ship data products quickly You will evolve the platform to support new data use cases including real time analytics batch processing and machine learning You will maintain a secure scalable and compliant data infrastructure using infrastructure as code and automation You will enable data ingestion processing and consumption at scale and you will mentor teammates to share knowledge and drive engineering excellence
Requirements
- Experience with one or more programming languages We primarily use Python Go and Kotlin but we value problem solving ability over syntax familiarity
- Strong understanding of data engineering principles including distributed data processing stream processing and data storage systems
- Fluency in using infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes in a cloud first environment
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to take ownership and communicate directly with stakeholders
- High sense of ownership and accountability and willingness to take initiative and advocate for the long term health of our data ecosystem

- Continuously evolve the platform to support new data use cases including real time analytics and machine learning
- Build and maintain a secure scalable and compliant data infrastructure using infrastructure as code and automation
- Enable data ingestion processing and consumption at scale in a self service manner
- Mentor teammates by sharing technical knowledge giving constructive feedback and driving engineering excellence
