About the Role
You will draft, negotiate, and manage complex commercial agreements and lead legal review of crypto and payment-related contracts, including custody and liquidity arrangements. You will oversee corporate governance for US and global entities, perform board secretarial duties, and manage entity formations and dissolutions. You will support fundraising and M&A transactions, run due diligence and data room processes, and negotiate definitive agreements. You will manage outside counsel, advise internal stakeholders (Product, Finance, HR, Operations) on day-to-day legal issues, identify legal risks and implement mitigation strategies, and develop internal legal templates and playbooks. You will also support MTL applications and monitor evolving regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited US law school and active bar membership in at least one US jurisdiction
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-growth in-house environment
- Proven experience in fintech, payments, or crypto/web3 preferred
- Ability to explain legal concepts clearly to non-lawyers
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to pivot quickly in a fast-paced global regulatory environment
