About the Role
You will provide technical leadership for electronic-parts selection, management, creation, and quality control across product development and production support. You will manage obsolescence and counterfeit-part activities, maintain ECAD libraries, review PCNs and GIDEP alerts, standardize parts, and coordinate with engineering, supply chain, quality, and reliability functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience, graduate degree with 6 years, or 15 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with component obsolescence tools, end-of-life management, COTS, and counterfeit parts.
- Experience establishing EDM and parts-management practices.
- Understanding of EEE-part qualification and screening requirements.
- Knowledge of JEDEC, EIA, IPC, military, NASA EEE-INST-002, and ESA standards.
- Knowledge of electronic component management quality assurance and ECMP practices.
- Knowledge of space-design requirements, PCB CAD, high-density interconnects, RF/microwave, MMIC, and high-speed digital electronics.
- Knowledge of electronic components, configuration management, traceability, and analysis techniques.
- Eligibility for clearance.
- U.S. Person status under ITAR/EAR.
Responsibilities
- Develop component requirements and select parts.
- Manage component obsolescence and counterfeit-part activities.
- Coordinate with engineering, supply chain, quality, and reliability personnel.
- Drive parts standardization and recommend reuse of database parts.
- Maintain ECAD libraries and introduce new parts.
- Review PCNs and GIDEP alerts and advise affected teams.
- Manage component data and part numbers.
