About the Role

You will define and evolve the cinematographic language for visual content. You will prepare, light, and shoot interviews, product demos, events, documentary stories, campaigns, and brand films. You will lead camera and lighting crews, develop moodboards and shot lists, manage production equipment, operate the in-house studio, and handle color grading and light edits when needed.

Requirements

• 6+ years of cinematography or director of photography experience across branded, commercial, documentary, and interview work
• A standout cinematography reel
• Command of camera systems, lenses, exposure, color pipelines, lighting, grip, and on-set monitoring
• Experience building cameras, shaping light, operating equipment, troubleshooting, and leading crews
• Strong pre-production planning skills
• Experience briefing and leading freelance crews and vendors
• Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve for color grading and light edits
• Ability to work on-site in San Francisco
• Flexibility for travel and long shoot days

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve cinematographic approaches for lighting, lenses, composition, movement, and color
• Shoot and light office content, executive interviews, product demos, social content, events, and documentary stories
• Lead cinematography for brand films, campaigns, partnerships, and launches
• Develop storytelling ideas through moodboards, shot lists, storyboards, and experimentation
• Build camera packages, run tests and technical scouts, and solve production constraints
• Recommend crews and equipment and lead camera and lighting departments on set
• Design, build, and operate the in-house studio
• Recommend, purchase, organize, and maintain production gear
• Grade color in DaVinci Resolve and support selects, stringouts, and light edits
