About the Role
You will design and operate a stateful, low-latency runtime for voice and chat AI agents. You will own distributed session management, function execution infrastructure, developer tooling, testing, observability, incident response, and production quality.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in infrastructure, platform, or systems work
- Strong Python and Go skills
- Understanding of distributed systems, consistency, fault tolerance, state management, and concurrency
- Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure
- Experience building developer-facing tooling
- Ability to drive technical decisions, write design documents, and mentor others
- Experience with testing, code review, on-call, incident response, and production ownership
- Experience using LLMs and AI-assisted development tools
Responsibilities
- Build real-time AI agent infrastructure for voice and chat
- Own distributed session management, checkpointing, recovery, and consistency
- Build a serverless-style function execution platform
- Build CLI tools, local development environments, and test frameworks
- Drive observability, incident response, and engineering best practices
